On February 15th, the next work from Marvel Studios was released in German cinemas with "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania". On the occasion of the official start of the so-called fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with "Ant-Man 3", Marvel boss Kevin Feige (49) gave a detailed interview to the US magazine "Entertainment Weekly". In the conversation, the architect of the Marvel stories reveals many exciting details about the future of the film series. The news shared by Feige at a glance.

One of the most popular Marvel heroes is and remains the friendly neighborhood spider Spider-Man – brilliantly embodied in the MCU by fan favorite Tom Holland (26). Marvel boss Feige has now confirmed to "Entertainment Weekly" that another "Spider-Man" part would be in the making. "All I'm going to say is we have the story," Feige reveals. The "big ideas" for "Spider-Man 4" would be fixed, now the Marvel writers are busy writing the script.

However, Feige could not elicit a start date for the still untitled "Spider-Man 4" with Holland as the main actor.

According to the current status on May 1st next year, "Captain America: New World Order" with actor Anthony Mackie (44) as the title character will be released in German cinemas. It was previously known that Harrison Ford (80) will be involved in the Marvel work and will embody the character Thaddeus Ross.

As Marvel boss Feige has now revealed, Ford's character in "Captain America 4" will even be the President of the USA. "[...] in this film, we're going to see the dynamic between Captain America and the US President in a way that's just unbelievable," the Marvel boss said. Filming for the upcoming film is also set to begin "relatively soon".

Also eagerly awaited by Marvel fans is the first Fantastic Four film, which will feature Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, Invisible Girl and Human Torch as part of the connected Marvel Universe. The currently untitled "Fantastic Four" by director Matt Shakman ("WandaVision") will be released in German cinemas on February 12, 2025.

While Marvel boss Feige didn't reveal the leads in the upcoming movie, he did say, "People will be hearing more about it soon." In addition, the four iconic heroes are said to "form a major pillar of the Marvel Universe in the future" - just like in the Marvel Comics from the past "50 or 60 years".

In addition to all these revelations, Marvel boss Feige also confirmed that the upcoming "Deadpool 3" with Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and "The Crown" star Emma Corrin actually has an R rating and is therefore only released in the USA from 17 years of age becomes. "This is our first film with an R rating," says Feige literally. According to the current status, "Deadpool 3" is scheduled to be released in German cinemas on November 6, 2024.
