For almost two months now, "Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten" actress Maria Wedig (39) has not been on the set of the series, but on the baby break. Now she announced the good news in a press release from broadcaster RTL: Her second child was born on May 30th. For the time being, she will now devote herself entirely to her grown family: "If not now, then when!? I will spend a wonderful summer and the next few months with my family: nice and relaxed and with all my loved ones!"

The star also shared the birth of the second child on Instagram. She posted a picture of a clapper board that read "New to the Crew" and also included the baby's date of birth. Meanwhile, "Sven and Maria" were entered as the directing duo, i.e. the proud parents. And the first-born daughter Leni was apparently allowed to try her hand as a camera child.

Wedig's "GZSZ" abstinence will only become apparent to fans of the series from June 19th. Episode 7,789, which is broadcast that day, was pre-produced with her, the character Nina then says goodbye abroad. This may be indefinitely, but not forever, as Wedig promises her followers: "Nina and I will of course come back to 'GZSZ' after a break. Coming soon!"
