Love is apparently hard work for Lily James (33). "You have to work on the relationship every day and get involved with it with full energy and honesty," explains the English actress in an interview with "Bild am Sonntag". This is not easy: "If you want it easy, it ends in a separation."

Possibly an allusion to her partner Michael Shuman (37)? In February, British media such as the "Sun" reported that the actress had apparently separated from the musician after about two years. James, known among other things for the miniseries "Pam

The 33-year-old used a friend's dating app and "looked at and selected the men for her. I noticed that the selection of really great men is really not that big."

James had said something similar a few days ago on British radio. In a program on "Capital" she said that she recently used a friend's app "and I'm just desperate. [...] The guys, they were rubbish."

The "BamS" therefore tells James that she prefers to get to know men in an old-fashioned way. The goal is for everyone to "have a long-lasting, beautiful relationship with our soul mate". In her opinion, the way there can sometimes be a friendship: "The crackling will pass, the solid friendship will remain."

James is currently starring in the romantic comedy What's Love Got to Do with It? to see in the cinema. She plays alongside Shazad Latif (34) and Emma Thompson (63).
