The date for the theatrical release of Martin Scorsese's (80) new and top-class film "Killers of the Flower Moon" has been set: From Thursday, October 19, 2023, the historical drama with Leonardo DiCaprio (48), Robert De Niro (79 ) and Brendan Fraser (54) on German cinema screens.
In the USA, the film will start in a few selected cinemas on October 6th, and the strip can be seen throughout the USA from October 20th, according to a statement. "Killers of the Flower Moon" will also be available on Apple TV afterwards. There is no concrete date so far, the streaming service currently only says "soon".
Scorsese's work is based on the 2017 bestseller of the same name by David Grann (56). The action takes place in 1920s Oklahoma and revolves around "a series of murders of members of the oil-rich Osage Nation, a series of brutal crimes known as a 'reign of terror ' became known," the statement said.
In addition to DiCaprio, De Niro and Fraser, the cast also includes Lily Gladstone (36), Jesse Plemons (34), Cara Jade Myers, Janae Collins, Jillian Dion and Tantoo Cardinal (72). Martin Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Daniel Lupi serve as producers.
