Jungle camp: When Lucas Cordalis had to leave the jungle, the film crew is said to have cheered

His father Costa Cordalis, who sadly died in 2019 at the age of 75, won the crown as King of the Jungle in 2004. Son Lucas, 55, wanted to do the same this year – but he didn't manage to show his likeable side on "I'm a star, get me out of here". Although many viewers who were already fans of Lucas, his wife Daniela Katzenberger or their extended family, voted for him – but both the prominent jungle roommates and all the other viewers repeatedly bumped into thoughtless statements and selfish behavior.

Nevertheless, Lucas Cordalis made it to third place. However, when he was voted out by the audience in the last few meters and Gigi Birofio and Djamila Rowe made up the final among themselves, it was a relief for many spectators. And obviously not only with those, as now revealed by someone who should know.

Micky Beisenherz, who is not only a moderator and stern voice, but has also been an author in the "IBES" team for years, revealed in his podcast "Apocalypse and Filter Coffee": When it was clear that Cordalis would only take third place, it was " thunderous applause and cheering" broke out among the film crew members, "as if the World Cup final had just been won here." Of course, the 55-year-old's self-centered behavior was also noticed by the employees of the production company. "So you can see that the sympathies were clearly distributed within the team, the antipathies even more so," confirms Beisenherz.

And he also went into a wild theory that's been circulating for a while: that someone close to Lucas Cordalis' orbit has hired a (possibly Indian) call center to call often for him. In fact, Beisenherz admits that he and other employees had puzzled where the many votes for him had come from - especially with regard to his behavior. "We always sit here and look at the numbers in bewilderment and say: How can that be? And of course this call center theory was all over the place here." But there was nothing wrong with this hypothesis, RTL checked it very carefully and no abnormalities found.
