Josh Hartnett and Harrison Ford: No drama between the actors

Contrary to rumours, there is no hatred between Josh Hartnett (44) and Harrison Ford (80), as Hartnett clarified in an interview.

The two actors had some disagreements and issues on the set of Hollywood Cops in 2003. The rumor quickly became public that they hated each other.

Hartnett told the Independent: "Drama sells newspapers, especially back then. But actually we get along well. There were things that we didn't agree on set as far as [the script] was concerned, and it became much rewritten." This would have been "wrongly" interpreted as if the colleagues did not understand each other.

It wasn't "tense" on set, Hartnett said. However, the promotional work that the two had to do for the film after shooting was quite exhausting for Hartnett: "I think I called it 'the bane of my existence' when we were on the press tour for this film, but that was it just because he kept teasing me. And that's just his way."

Hartnett and Ford played two unconventional police partners who share a difficult relationship in the action comedy. It was probably the same with the actors. In a 2003 interview with ContactMusic, Hartnett explained that he and Ford often got into awkward situations between takes: "There were times when we were supposed to be shooting a scene, we were just sitting in the car and neither of us said anything, about an hour."

But after a while they found a way to work together. "I think there was a trial period that I had to go through," said Hartnett. "But in the end we got along well."
