Jane Fonda (84) wants to take away the fear of old age in young people. The Hollywood actress and activist, who celebrates her 85th birthday on December 21, said at an event, according to Metro, that she has lived the good life.

The "Grace and Frankie" star celebrated at the Georgia event with musician Ludacris (45) and actor Tyler Perry (53), among others. The event was sponsored by the non-profit organization Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power

On stage, Fonda went on to say of her life: "I knew I couldn't stretch it longer than it will be, but I could stretch it wider and deeper. And I did." She also has the feeling that she still does. "I hope to be a role model for young people so that they are not afraid of getting older."

In early September, Fonda announced on Instagram that she had been diagnosed with cancer again. Captioning a photo of herself, the two-time Academy Award winner wrote: "I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and started chemotherapy. It's a very treatable cancer. 80 percent of people survive so I'm feeling really good. " In 2018 she had cancerous tissue removed from her lower lip. In 2010, a routine checkup revealed a small tumor in her breast. After an operation, she was considered cured.
