Former US President Barack Obama wished his wife Michelle a happy birthday with a romantic photo together. "You make every day brighter - and somehow you become more and more beautiful!" Wrote the 61-year-old on Instagram for Michelle's 59th birthday on Tuesday (January 17). He also posted a picture of them both watching a sunset from a balcony, with Michelle leaning against him as he holds her in his arms.

The former First Lady, attorney and bestselling author shared her husband's post on an Instagram Story, captioning it "Love you!". The two have been married since 1992 and have two daughters together, Malia (24) and Natasha (21). Michelle Obama published her book The Light Within in November. Her autobiography "Becoming" is a world bestseller.
