James Mangold (59) denies the rumors that he had to reshoot scenes for "Indiana Jones 5". "We don't shoot and have never shot new scenes or 'other endings'," explains the director ("Le Mans 66") on Twitter. After taking a "break from trolls" around his birthday on December 16, he now feels compelled to take a stand again.

The film is "99 percent complete". According to Mangold, only the special effects have to be completed. So far, only a third of the visual effects are in the box. In addition, "Indiana Jones 5" still has to receive an age rating from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

Rumors have been circulating for weeks that test screenings of Indiana Jones and the Call of Fate have turned out to be disastrous. The makers are said to have shown different endings. Including a final scene in which Phoebe Waller-Bridge (37) takes over the baton from Indy aka Harrison Ford (80). In another sequence, Indiana Jones is said to have died.
