The rappers of the US band Salt-N-Pepa, who celebrated their first successes in the 1980s, are to be immortalized with a star plaque on Hollywood's "Walk of Fame". This was announced by the operators of the tourist mile in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

On November 4th, Cheryl 'Salt' James and Sandra 'Pepa' Denton are scheduled to unveil the star - it will be the 2738th plaque on the famous sidewalk. The organizers said it will be embedded in the ground next to the star of hip-hop icon Missy Elliott.

The group, which formerly included Deidra Roper (DJ Spinderella), is best known for hit songs like "Push It" (1987), "Let's Talk About Sex" (1991) and "Whatta Man" (1993). They won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Group in 1995 for "None of Your Business."
