Harrison Ford and Ke Huy Quan: Indiana Jones and Shorty 38 Years Later

In 1984, they both starred in the legendary adventure film classic Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. At the Disney Group's D23 Expo, which is currently taking place in Anaheim, California, there was an emotional reunion: Hollywood star Harrison Ford (80) met his former sidekick Ke Huy Quan (51), who died in the second "Indiana Jones" film embodied the character "Shorty" popular with fans. Quan shared a photo of the reunion on his Instagram channel.

"I love you, Indy," writes the actor, who was also in the cult film "The Goonies" in the 1980s, to the photo. "Indiana Jones and Short Round" are "reunited after 38 years". It was no coincidence that both actors were present at the D23 Expo: Harrison Ford promoted the still untitled fifth "Indiana Jones" film on site, which is scheduled to start in US cinemas on June 30, 2023. It will be Ford's final appearance as a whip-wielding archaeologist.

Meanwhile, former child star Quan, now 51, has been announced as a new addition to the Marvel series Loki, Deadline reports. He will play an undisclosed role in season two, due out on Disney next summer.
