Hans Peter Hallwachs (1938-2022) is dead. As has only just become known, the actor and speaker died on December 16 in Berlin. This is reported by "Der Tagesspiegel" and "RBB", citing the family of the deceased. Hallwachs' agency also confirmed the death. Hallwachs was well known to German film, television and theater audiences from numerous performances. He took part in the very first "Tatort: ​​Taxi nach Leipzig" (1970) and was seen in 15 other episodes of the long-lived crime series in the first until 2018.

Hallwachs was primarily subscribed to concise supporting and character roles. German television viewers also know him as the father of the main character Sophie Haas (Caroline Peters, 51) from the ARD series "Mord mit Aussicht" and from the popular crime series "Der Alte" and "Der Bulle von Tölz". He also took part in the four-part hit film "Der Große Bellheim".

Hallwachs' best-known film roles include the Erich Kästner adaptation "Fabian" (1980), in which he played a rare leading role. He was also seen in the comedies "(T)Spaceship Surprise - Period 1", "Otto - The Extra Friesian" and "Didi at Full Speed".

Hallwachs lent his distinctive voice as a dubbing actor to Alan Rickman (1946-2016), among others. In the course of his long career, he also took part in numerous radio play productions, including several Raymond Chandler settings (from 1983) and the adaptation of "The Lord of the Rings" (1991) by Bernd Laus.

The family of the deceased writes in his obituary: "For us he always played leading roles, throughout a long and fulfilling life".
