In 2011 she left the series as Verena Koch with a shocking serial death, now Susan Sideropoulos (42) is returning to "Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten". In the strictest secrecy, she has been shooting together with Daniel Fehlow (47) and the "GZSZ" team in Potsdam Babelsberg since last November. But how does she return to RTL-Daily (also via RTL)?
From episode 7,686 (January 18, 2023, 7:40 p.m. on RTL, one week in advance on RTL), she will be seen as Sarah Elsässer, while Daniel Fehlow will slip back into his familiar role of Leon Moreno. Both roles were seen in the "GZSZ" spin-off "Leon – Don't believe everything you see" in early 2021. The film sequel "Leon – Fight for Your Love" (8:15 p.m. on RTL) will be broadcast on January 11th.
"With the 'GZSZ' spin-off 'Leon', the RTL editors and the production UFA Serial Drama have succeeded in bringing Susan back to the 'GZSZ' world as Sarah," explains Daniel Fehlow in the RTL statement on the Comeback of Susan Sideropoulos after more than ten years. "The fact that she will accompany us again in the Berlin neighborhood makes for great enthusiasm - including me."
Susan Sideropoulos added that she had been asked again and again for more than ten years whether she could imagine a "GZSZ" comeback. "My answer was always: Yes, if the content fits and it feels good for me. And now it's finally time. When I was back on the set in November, I cried with joy." But how will Leon and Sarah hit the Kolle-Kiez together?
After dramatic events on the island of Rügen around their wedding and the return of Sarah's brother Jan, seen in "Leon - Fight for Your Love", Sarah and Leon spend a few months in Berlin. When Leon shows Sarah his old place of work, he spontaneously has to step in and Sarah explores the city on her own. In doing so, she runs into a bad-tempered Erik (Patrick Heinrich, 37), who shortly afterwards realizes with embarrassment that he has messed things up with Leon's new wife of all people...
There is also a question to be answered, as Fehlow suggests in his statement: "How will Philip react when he meets Sarah for the first time?" The role of Jörn Schlönvoigt (36) was involved in the serious accident with Verena Koch. From 2001 to 2011, Sideropoulos played the businesswoman who was married to Leon Moreno (Fehlow) and had a child with him. Sideropoulos left the series after her character Verena died in a tragic traffic accident. Now she's back as Sarah, who looks so much like Verena, which shocked Leon when they first met in "Leon – Don't Believe Everything You See".
