Gina Rodriguez (38) has become a mother. A rep for the 'Jane the Virgin' star confirmed to Popsugar that the actress and husband Joe LoCicero (36) had their first baby. No other details, such as the child's name or gender, were released. "Page Six", the celebrity page of the "New York Post", had previously published photos of the 38-year-old, showing her with a baby on a walk in Los Angeles.

Last July, on her 38th birthday, Rodriguez announced the pregnancy. On Instagram, she shared a compilation of photos and videos of herself and her husband. At the end, a clip appears in which she holds a positive pregnancy test up to the camera. "This birthday is just different," Rodriguez wrote. In the months that followed, she kept posting photos of herself with a growing baby bump.

Gina Rodriguez had her breakthrough in 2014 with the comedy series "Jane the Virgin". The show ran through 2019. She received a Golden Globe for her performance on the series in 2015. Since 2016 she has been dating actor and MMA fighter Joe LoCicero, whom she met on the set of "Jane the Virgin". The couple married in May 2019.
