Good mood, lots of music, sweets, costumes and lots of fun: Carnival is a very special time, especially for children. But children's carnival also needs to be well planned and needs a lot of party accessories. We have tips for carnival celebrations with children.

Of course, if the party is taking place at school or daycare, you don't have to worry about the preparation, you can skip this point. However, if you are planning a children's carnival celebration at home, with friends or in a sports club, a little preparation and decoration is required. On the one hand, you should have in mind how many children should be at the party and distribute invitation cards accordingly so that the little ones can prepare for the celebration and, if necessary, get a suitable costume for the theme party.

A motto is a good idea for creating an attractive decoration and giving the children a direction for the costumes. Whether it's a pirate themed party, a circus, animal, magic, Disney, Paw Patrol, Pokémon, or something else themed celebration, having an overarching theme is a great way to prepare games and the party. But if you also like it colorful, you can of course omit the motto.

In addition, you should have suitable premises in order to be able to celebrate extensively. If there is not enough space at home, you should consider whether your friends have a suitable apartment or whether you can rent space. Of course, music is also essential for a good children's carnival party. Appropriate jukeboxes should therefore definitely be available - as well as a moody playlist with children's songs based on the motto.

Once the motto and planning for the children's carnival are in place, it's time to get the decorations and party supplies. The following things should be present in the decoration to create the right carnival mood:

A piñata can be particularly great for the children and an exciting highlight. It should also go best with the chosen motto and represents a gaming and decoration highlight at the children's carnival party. At a pirate party, for example, you can combine it with a previous treasure hunt for which the little ones have to solve puzzles.

In addition, there should be enough bowls, children's crockery and cutlery, as well as sweets and various snacks (salty and sweet, vegetable sticks are also welcome): mini burgers, brownies with Smarties on them or even vegetable faces are delicious and also look good.

Of course, the costumes, like the decoration, should match the chosen motto. In the example of the pirate party, of course, the pirate offers itself as a costume.

But so that it is not so one-sided optically, it can also be more creative: mermaid costumes, sailors or even chefs also fit the pirate motto, and of course there are no limits to the imagination.
