FC Bayern: Footballer Thomas Müller loves cooking – but without a recipe: “My creativity gets in the way”

The Müllers have a clear distribution of tasks in the kitchen. "My wife bakes well, she's the boss in the ring. I do the cooking," said national soccer player Thomas Müller in an interview with "Welt am Sonntag" and added mischievously: "After eating I sometimes get hit on the lid , because cleaning up the kitchen isn't my forte."

Müller, who wrote the book "Cooking for Small and Large Champions" with nutritional doctor Matthias Riedl, has shown a strong interest in nutrition, food and cooking for several years. “My parsley root soup tastes good – at least I think so,” said the professional footballer, who admitted: “My creativity gets in the way when I cook according to a recipe.” And when it comes to cutting vegetables, “I would like to be at Champions League level.”

When cooking, the ingredients of the products used are particularly important to him. "What's in food? This isn't really taught in our society; there's a lot of catching up to do, even at school," says the 34-year-old, who grows his own vegetables at home.
