Ex-campaign manager denies sexual misconduct allegations

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah.-- Lawyers for Utah Gov. The accusations are being denied by Spencer Cox's former campaign manager. This was after an investigation proved that he had been accused of sexual misconduct.

Lawyers for Austin Cox stated Friday that the relationship was a long-term, between two young adults, which he broke off earlier this year. KUTV reported.

The statement stated that "our client unambiguously and emphatically denies all allegations to the contrary".

According to the Republican governor, an independent investigation had found cause for Austin Cox, his 2020 campaign manger, to be terminated. However, he resigned prior to its conclusion. Also, the investigation revealed previously unknown "hostile behavior" towards other team members.

Austin Cox's lawyers also criticized Friday's joint statement by Gov. Cox and Lieutenant Gov. Deidre Henderson condemned the behavior of the former campaign manager on Thursday.

KUTV asked Austin Cox to speak with them Friday. However, his lawyer declined.

The governor and the former campaign manager are not related.
