Elton John: Musician wants to travel to Antarctica

Elton John (76) will celebrate the end of his tour with a special holiday trip. As the "Mirror" reports, the musician wants to vacation in Antarctica.

John is celebrating the end of his farewell tour with his husband David Furnish (60) and their two sons Zachary (12) and Elijah (10). The kids are excited about the goal, Furnish revealed. "Both of our sons want to go to Antarctica and Elton also wants to go to Antarctica. It has turned out to be a destination for everyone."

Ed Sheeran (32) is also a big fan of the southern continent. Elton John's close friend was so taken by the place that he even gave his youngest daughter Lyra a middle name after it.

However, Elton John's wanderlust is not yet satisfied: he also plans to accompany his son Zach on his fishing trips as soon as he has time, his husband announced. Another family destination is India. "I want to go to India with Elton and the boys because it's such a vibrant country. You have to immerse yourself and travel around to make it make sense," enthuses Furnish. Elton also wants to go to more Watford football club games with his boys - "as long as they win".

Since 2018, John has been doing his farewell tour "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" with interruptions. The tour had been repeatedly postponed due to the pandemic and the singer's health problems, and in 2021 he had to undergo hip surgery. Elton John will play his last concert in his home country in June at the legendary Glastonbury Festival.

At the end of April to mid-May, John is also coming to Germany. Stations are Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Mannheim and Cologne. The very last concert is scheduled to take place in Stockholm on July 8, 2023.
