RTL will let the puppets dance in a few weeks, because the talent show "Die Puppenstars" will soon return to the screens. RTL (also on RTL ) shows three new episodes of the third season from September 24th. The second episode will air on October 1st and the third on October 8th. It starts at 8:15 p.m. each day. Thomas Gottschalk (72) will lead through the shows as moderator.

The first two seasons of "Die Puppenstars" were shown in 2016 and 2017 and were moderated by comedian Mirja Boes (50). So the show returns after about five years. The three episodes of the new season are self-contained and at the end of each show the respective "doll star of the evening" is chosen.

A four-person jury then determines who becomes the "puppet star". In addition to Max Giermann (46) and Martin Reinl (46), this also includes the puppet cockroach, played by Carsten Haffke. This is always accompanied by a guest juror. The jury awards points for the performance of the puppeteers in the competition. The winner will receive prize money of 20,000 euros.
