Cristiano Ronaldo on his son's death: 'Worst moment of my life'

Soccer world star Cristiano Ronaldo (37) spoke in an interview with Piers Morgan (57) about the painful death of his son. Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez (28) gave birth to twins Bella and Angel in April. Baby Angel died shortly after birth. An emotional Ronaldo described the devastating loss as "probably the worst moment" of his life since the death of his father José Dinis Aveiro in 2005.

According to The Sun, when Ronaldo's girlfriend returned home from the hospital after giving birth, the soccer star's four other children asked, "'Where's the other baby?'". Only Ronaldo's eldest son Cristiano Jr. (12) quickly understood what had happened - and cried with his father for the deceased Angel.

The devout Catholic Ronaldo also revealed in the interview that he would keep his son's ashes in a private chapel in the basement of his house. "They are next to my father. I have a little church downstairs, a chapel, and that's where I keep my father and my son," Ronaldo said. In the same interview, the Manchester United player describes his surviving daughter Bella as "a spectacular, beautiful girl" of whom his entire family is proud. "I'm so, so happy," reveals the star.
