US actress Christina Ricci (43) revealed on a talk show what brutal methods she experienced at the beginning of her career: A production company threatened to sue her when she refused to shoot a certain sex scene.
According to Ricci in "The View", the younger generation of actors is much more self-confident than they were then: "It's great to see that nowadays they don't have to go through what I went through. They can say no, they can say I'm not going to shoot this sex scene, I'm not going to be naked."
The younger actresses, Ricci continues, are able to set boundaries that she never would have been able to set before: "Someone once threatened to sue me because I didn't want to shoot a certain sex scene. That has really changed."
Ricci, who became a star as a child through films such as "Mermaids Kiss Better" and "Addams Family", can currently be seen in the US series "Yellowjackets".
