Accordingly, the burial will take place on December 17 at the Vienna Central Cemetery. Before that, the mortal remains of the deceased artist are to be laid out in the Karl Borromäus Church from 9:30 a.m. The public can say goodbye here and sign the condolence book.

The funeral service will then begin on December 17 at 1:30 p.m. and will be led by cathedral priest Toni Faber. Mourners can also say goodbye to the acting great in an official online condolence book and pay their last respects.

Christiane Hörbiger died on Wednesday in her hometown and birthplace of Vienna. She was one of the most successful actresses in German-speaking countries. Hörbiger became known to German audiences, among other things, through the TV series "Das Erbe der Guldenburgs" (1987-1990), in which she played Christine Countess von Guldenburg for over 40 episodes. Also in "Schtonk!" (1992) by Helmut Dietl (1944-2015), Hörbiger worked alongside Götz George (1938-2016) and Uwe Ochsenknecht (66).
