Christian Pulisic (24) is unstoppable: The football star had to be treated in hospital after scoring the winning goal against Iran in the decisive World Cup group game of his US boys.

Apparently, that hardly spoiled the mood, as a photo from the hospital bed shows. He is lying in bed between all kinds of equipment, but energetically raises his fist and shouts at the camera with joy at the victory.

The professional athlete also writes confidently about the picture: "So incredibly proud of my boys, I'll be at the start on Saturday, don't worry". However, it is questionable whether he can really be there in the round of 16 against the Netherlands on Saturday.

After his clash with the Iran goalkeeper, Pulisic was taken to hospital with dizziness and an abdominal injury. There the diagnosis of pelvic contusion was made.

The ex-Dortmunder and today's hope for the Americans was back with his squad when celebrating after the game. When his fellow athletes returned to the hotel, Pulisic was already waiting in the lobby, laughing, as can be seen on the US team's official Instagram account. As he recorded them on his phone, they euphorically hugged and greeted their slightly battered superstar.

Pulisic is considered a great hope for the Americans, having already been involved in two goals in the tournament. He currently plays Chelsea in the English Premier League.
