"Marvel" star Chris Evans (41), the "Sexiest Man Alive", has reportedly been in a relationship for more than a year. As an insider is now said to have revealed, it is apparently not just a fleeting love affair for the Captain America actor.

The US magazine "People", which Evans recently awarded the illustrious title, would now like to know that the 41-year-old is said to be permanently assigned. According to an anonymous source, Evans has been dating Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, 25, "for more than a year and it's serious." The two are therefore "in love and Chris has never been happier". The actor's family and friends are said to be obsessed with Baptista.

However, spokesmen for the two have so far left inquiries unanswered. Evans and his fellow actress have not yet commented on the rumours. And it's also not clear if Evans could ever take a stand. He recently confirmed to the magazine that he would like to get married and become a father. "Some things you just want for yourself, or just for my family and friends," he said.

Over the summer, at least, it didn't sound like Evans had a partner. In an interview with "Shondaland" in July, when asked whether there was a special goal in his life that he was actively pursuing, he said: "The answer is that I'm very focused on finding a partner [...] , someone to live with."

Evans has appeared in numerous major Hollywood productions and attracted countless fans to the box office, especially as the "Marvel" hero. Baptista may have caught the eye of many a series fan in the Netflix series "Warrior Nun". The second season has just started on the streaming service.
