The entertainers Thomas Gottschalk (72) and Mike Krüger (71) are now running a podcast together stylishly under the title "Die Supernasen". The audio format started on Wednesday on RTL Musik, and a week later it can be accessed wherever there are podcasts. This was announced by the broadcaster family RTL Germany in Cologne. "'Die Supernasen' begin where everything began and take the audience on a journey through time to the 1980s," advertises the streaming portal RTL.
"The 'Supernasen' films were among the biggest national cinema successes at the time - and Thomas and Mike shaped the German entertainment world in their unmistakable way. As good friends, they don't mince words when they talk about their wild days." The duo answer fan questions and sing songs that didn't make the charts. RTL promises "countless insights into the world of celebrities that have never been heard before".
Gottschalk about the new project: "I've always talked too much in my life and revealed too much. So it's fitting that I now have a podcast with Mike. I can't guarantee anything, but I promise: 'The Supernasen' is the first all-round honest podcast, we don't lie."
Krüger added: "Thomas and I have each been in show business for 50 years. The column '100 years of showbiz' is already set and a sure-fire success. We definitely have something to talk about for 100 years – if nobody stops us."
As cult figures in German cinema, Krüger and Gottschalk have a number of fans. In the early 1980s, they were considered a guarantee for full cinemas. The "Supernasen" series consists of the comedies "Piratensender Powerplay" (1982), "Die Supernasen" (1983), "Zwei Nasen tanken Super" (1984) and "Die Einsteiger" (1985).
