Model and presenter Sylvie Meis (44) and her husband Niclas Castello have split up.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we have decided together to separate," says a joint statement that "Bild" initially reported. "We look back on very good times, but we have to acknowledge that our life situations are too different for a common future." We do not want to answer any further questions.

Meis and the artist Castello got married in Florence in 2020. From 2005 to 2013, the presenter was married to footballer Rafael van der Vaart. The two have a son together, 14-year-old Damián.
