Bonnie Tyler (71) was already able to look forward to being a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) as part of the "Queen's Birthday Honours" last summer. On February 1, the world-famous Welsh singer was presented with the Order of Prince William (40).

Back in June 2022, Tyler had stated how delighted she was to receive the award for her services to music. It shows that everyone can be recognized for their achievements, no matter what background the person comes from. "I hope that my award can in some way motivate others to do their best [...]," said the singer. "I'm just a girl from a small town in Wales who just loves to sing [...]" which is why the Order is so special to her, her family and friends.

"It's a very exciting day, one that I will never forget, I'm a very happy girl," Tyler said on Wednesday, according to the British Daily Mail.

The singer, born in 1951, became known in the 1970s. Today, the whole world knows Tyler's distinctive, raspy voice. Her biggest hits include songs like "It's a Heartache", "Holding Out For A Hero" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart".
