"Always there for you" back on Netflix: This is where season two starts

The popular drama series Always for You returns for season two on Netflix on December 2nd. Katherine Heigl (44) and ex-"Scrubs" star Sarah Chalke (46) embody lifelong best friends Tully and Kate. Netflix announced in October that season two will be the last of the series. However, the final season includes a total of 16 episodes, which are divided into two blocks. It starts with nine episodes, part two of season two consisting of seven episodes will be released on Netflix in 2023.

Viewers of the premiere edition of "Always there for you" are looking forward to the resolution of the big cliffhanger from the season finale: What led to the argument between the two best friends Tully and Kate? Season one ended with a time warp and the two main characters falling out, although the reason for this has not yet been revealed.

In the new episodes, this mystery will now be resolved. Series star Chalke only revealed in advance that the cause of the dispute had nothing to do with Johnny. Instead, a family matter led to the rift between the two best friends.

In addition, Kate's ex-husband Johnny Ryan (Ben Lawson, 42) was seriously injured in Iraq in the finale of the first "Always there for you" season. The trailer for season two already shows that Johnny survived, but he is clearly in poor health. The war reporter has trouble finding his way back to normal life. His ex-wife Kate cares for him and helps where she can. Will the two get closer again? At least Kate still seems to have feelings for Johnny.

Meanwhile, Tully tries to rebuild her career as a journalist in the new episodes. The trailer already reveals that she wants to make a documentary about the search for her biological father.

Also in the new episodes from season two, Ali Skovbye (20) and Roan Curtis play the younger versions of Tully and Kate. According to an official Netflix synopsis for the new installment of the series, Tully's hippie mother Cloud (Beau Garrett, 39) ends up in prison for drug trafficking. Tully therefore moves in with her grandmother - and thus far away from her best friend.

It also follows Johnny and Kate falling in love for the first time in the 1980s, while Tully grows closer to a new colleague.

In addition to returning from season one of the Netflix series, a number of new cast members are joining the cast for season two. In the 1980s timeline, "Grey's Anatomy" actor Greg Germann (64) joins the cast of "Immer für dich da". He plays Benedict Binswanger, a wealthy heir running for governor in Washington state.

In the new episodes, Ignacio Serricchio ("Good Girls", 40) embodies the extremely self-confident sports reporter Danny Diaz, who constantly clashes with Tully at the beginning of season two.

Also initially set in the 1980s, India de Beaufort ("Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist", 35) plays the journalist Charlotte, who falls hopelessly in love with Kate's later husband Johnny. In the presence of Always There for You, Charlotte becomes a world-renowned reporter who is experienced, confident, and always takes what she wants.

Jolene Purdy (38), known from the HBO series "The White Lotus", plays the charming talent agent Justine Jordan in the new "Always there for you" episodes, which basically everyone wants to have on their side.
