After Aaron Carter's Death: Backstreet Boys Honor Nick Carter's Brother

Just one day after US star Aaron Carter (1987-2022) died at the age of 34, his brother gave a concert at the O2 Arena in London together with his Backstreet Boys colleagues. At the performance on Sunday evening, Nick Carter (42) was clearly mourning his little brother, as shown by fan photos shared on social networks. According to US media, a special moment happened after the band performed the hit "No Place".

After the song, Kevin Richardson (51) spoke up and said: "That was the last single from the 'DNA' album and this song is very important to us because it's about family. Tonight we have a heavy heart because we lost one of our family members yesterday." During Richardson's speech, Nick Carter stood in the background and is said to have repeatedly wiped tears from his face. Finally, he was comforted by his bandmates AJ McLean (44) and Brian Littrell (47) with a heartfelt hug.

The five men then dedicated their next song to Aaron Carter and a picture of the deceased was displayed. The audience gave heartfelt applause as a tribute. Shortly before the concert in London, Nick Carter commented on his brother's death via Instagram and wrote, among other things: ""Although my brother and I had a complicated relationship, my love for him never faded."

The singer always hoped that one day his younger brother would "be on a healthy path and finally find the help he so desperately needed". Sometimes you want to blame someone or something for a loss, "but the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villains here."

Aaron Carter was only 34 years old. He was found dead at his home in Lancaster, California on November 5. The cause of death has not yet been clarified. Nick Carter's younger brother has struggled with drug addiction and mental health issues in recent years.
