The dream couple is reunited: Jennifer Aniston (54) and Adam Sandler (56) investigate in "Murder Mystery 2" again as a married couple in a murder case. The sequel to the surprise hit of 2019 is available on Netflix from March 31.

Murder Mystery 2 is Sandler and Aniston's third film together. Their first collaboration was "My Fictitious Woman" in 2011. In the remake of the classic "The Cactus Blossom" (1969), Aniston plays Sandler's assistant and practice manager, who has to pose as his wife. With amorous consequences, of course.

But Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have known each other for much longer. They first met at a dinner sometime in the early 1990s, as the duo revealed in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel (55). Aniston was dating one of Sandler's friends at the time. What became of it is not known, but she became friends with Sandler. So they were friends before "Friends" as Kimmel pointed out slyly.

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have been friends for a good 30 years. Since then, they have repeatedly emphasized in interviews that they love each other - purely platonic, of course. Their families are also friends. Aniston was invited to Sandler's daughter's bar mitzvah. She did not have time, but sent a gift. Worth 1.8 million, as Sandler probably not meant seriously.

On behalf of Sandler's wife Jackie (48), Jennifer Aniston even takes care of his nutrition on the set. "I promised his wife that I'd make sure he eats as healthy as possible when we're filming," the actress revealed. And Aniston is indeed a role model for Sandler, he admires her fitness.

In turn, Adam Sandler worries about Jennifer Aniston's love life. "What are you doing, what's wrong with you," her buddy keeps saying about her choice of men, as the "Friends" actress once revealed.
