Actress: Jennifer Aniston opens up about trying to conceive

Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston (53) spoke for the first time in an interview about her unfulfilled desire to have children. She went through a difficult time in her 30s and 40s, she said in an interview for the December issue of Allure magazine. "I was trying to get pregnant. It was a difficult journey for me," she said. "All the years and years and years of speculation - that was really tough."

She has undergone in vitro fertilization treatments, drank Chinese tea and tried all sorts of other things. "I would have given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor." But she didn't think of that. "So I'm here today. The train has now left."

She has no regrets, Aniston said. In the meantime she was rather relieved. You no longer have to ask yourself whether pregnancy might be possible after all. "I don't have to think about it anymore."

For a long time she violated the public image that she was selfish and only focused on her career. "And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn't have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we separated and ended our marriage, is said to have been because I didn't want to give him a child. That was absolute lies." Also because of the many untrue stories, she now wants to tell the truth. "I have nothing to hide."

The actress was married twice: to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and to Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2017.
