Actress Claudelle Deckert: After "Unter Uns" she moves to Amsterdam

Born in Düsseldorf, Claudelle Deckert (49) will also be living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with her husband, PR manager Peter Olsson (61). A few weeks ago, the decision was made: "We want to live here," says the actress in a double interview with the magazine "Bunte". They already have residences in Düsseldorf and Mallorca.

Why Amsterdam? Deckert associates childhood memories with it. "My parents used to have a small Knusper cottage in the north of Holland and we always went there. We found the Dutch to be open and cool," she says. And Olsson adds: "I lived here before in the 80s and absolutely loved the city." He raves about the "water that flows through the city" and about the culture and the "spirit in dealing with all nationalities".

The actress also raves about this spirit in her new adopted home in the farewell interview with RTL: "I'm so happy, it's a new time. I'll find my way around very well in this city because it has incredibly positive energy and a good spirit has."

Both have "fell madly in love with the city," he tells the magazine. During an internet search they discovered their new home, an "apartment right on the canal". The house dates back to the 17th century, has a garden and a guest house. "So we now commute between Düsseldorf and Amsterdam," he summarizes.

Claudelle Deckert is now also a wellness entrepreneur and lifestyle coach for a healthy life. "I bring balance and well-being to other people's lives," she says, referring to cooking classes and seminars. She also wants to sell "special, beautiful products for animals". And Peter Olsson? "I help Claudelle to make her dreams come true. It fits. In every respect," he says. And she: "He puts my horsepower on the road."

The "move to Amsterdam" clarifies a "secret of their love", the two find. "We're both equally crazy [...] Everything is done spontaneously and immediately. Our souls vibrate in unison," says Olsson.

Incidentally, the two fell in love with each other "in writing", "in the middle of the pandemic, in the most severe lockdown," he then says. "We wrote, talked on the phone and after three weeks I said to my friends: 'This is the woman I'm going to marry.'" The two then did that in the summer of 2021 at Tegernsee. Children are no longer planned. "When we got together, I could have imagined it very well. Today our animals are our babies. We have cats, dogs, birds - and we still want goats, a pig and a donkey. We are both totally crazy about animals."

After 22 years as a star of the TV daily "Unter uns" (RTL), the actress announced in July 2022 that she was taking a break from filming to spend more time with her husband and "clear her head". She returned to the series set in October 2022. A few days ago she announced the final end. "I actually stop, completely," she says in an interview with the broadcaster at the beginning of March.

The last scene with Eva Wagner (Deckert) will be broadcast on TV this Friday (March 10) from 5:30 p.m. She tells her fans: "Don't be sad. Eva is gone for now, but Claudelle will stay with you."
