Wada exclude Russia from the events in the four years

Wada on Monday decided to exclude Russia from participation in international sporting events.

"I can confirm that Wada-system has decided unanimously to follow the committee's recommendations," says Wadas press officer, James Fitzgerald.

It writes the Norwegian media NRK and several international news agencies.

the Recommendations of the committee of experts was to deny Russian athletes participation in international competitions for the next four years, and the sanctions mean that Russia is going to miss the OLYMPICS in 2020 and the winter OLYMPICS in 2022.

the Exclusion will not affect Russia's EM-participation to the summer, because the country is qualified and the host country for the finals.

in Addition to the OLYMPICS-the exclusion, so that means today's decision, that Russia not be allowed to attend the football WORLD cup in 2022, writes English Sky Sports.

"Seen with our glasses is a fine, severe punishment, which we think is in his place. We are happy that Wada acting unanimously. All agree to send a very strong signal to the russians, who basically has powered games with the us in recent years," says the director of the Danish sports Federations, Morten Hansen, to Ritzau.

the Recommendations came in the light of the fact that Russia a number of years has seen large on anti-doping rules by manipulating provided antidopingdata, before the data was handed over to Wada.

Russian athletes have however, the opportunity to participate in sports events, if they can prove that they have not been a part of the Russian dopingprogram and at the same time choose to put up under the neutral flag.

the Head of Russia's anti-doping agency, Yuri Ganus, has already recognized that Russia has committed antidopingovertrædelser to manipulate with the provided data, and expected, therefore, that Wada would follow ekspertkomitéens recommendations.

Russia has the opportunity to appeal against Monday's decision to The International court of arbitration for sport (CAS), but it must be done within 21 days.

If Russia chooses to appeal the decision, will the russians may be able to participate in sporting events, until CAS traps judgment in the case.
