Band-mate Andy Scott: "I'm devastated. Steve is gone from us. His wife and I kept in touch, and although his state of health deteriorated, I would have never expected this Moment. Never. My thoughts are with his family. He was the best Bassist I've ever played. The noise we made as a Band, was so powerful - From the Moment we left in the summer of 1970 to our musical Odyssey that opened the world and the roller coaster ride began. He followed eventually, his heart, and moved to the United States. First to New York, then to L. A. rest in peace brother. All of my love. Andy."
