so far known under the code name C41, the Citroën C4, the 3rd generation receives its official name, and is revealed gradually approaches its commercial launch scheduled for the second half of 2020. Developed on a stretched version of the platform CMP released in 2019 by the city versatile Peugeot 208, the new C4 is a compact crossover (about 4,30 m long), which are based on wheels of very large diameters (690 mm as those of the DS3 Crossback) so that its ground clearance increased doesn't seem like too much on the aesthetics.

The first photos unveiled by Citroën allow you to discover a ë-C4 100 % electric, type of traction chain whose integration has been planned from the beginning for the platform CMP. The characteristics have not been specified at this stage, but it is likely that it is taken up, e-208 and DS3 Crossback E-Tense, namely an electric motor of 100 kW (136 hp) powered by a battery with a capacity of 50 kWh. The C4 will also be available in version thermal, and mechanical petrol and diesel will be again carried over from the 208.

Citroen is more disert concerning liaison on the ground, which incorporate shock absorbers with stops hydraulic progressives like the C4 Cactus and C5 Aircross. Like the latter, the C4 receives seats-moss-bi-densities to ensure comfort of reference for the category. Inside, the C4 shows the kind sophisticated with its system head-up display, high-blade polycarbonate large surface area overlooking a combined instrument 100 % digital. Assembly in the plant of madrid in PSA, the C4 is expected to arrive in dealerships in the fall, but its prices have not yet been announced.
