Local describes according to the BBC the situation as "apocalyptic" and "insane", while others experiencing breathing difficulties, and describes that they "stifled" in the smoke.

the Smoke not only creates an unhealthy air pollution, it has also spoiled the views from the city's otherwise iconic waterfront with the Opera house in the centre.
