No Danish film has been nominated for a Golden Globe award. Two Netflix movies nestled in the bend.

Two Netflix movies is the race with the most nominations for the coveted Golden Globe statuettes, as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is handing out.

It is clear on Monday afternoon Danish time, where the nominations have been published.

the Film "the Marriage Story", which recently has come on the Danish Netflix service, is nominated for six awards, including best drama.

Martin Scorceses new gangster movie on Netflix, which has a length of three and a half hours, "The Irishman", is nominated for five awards.

Also Quentin tarantino's critically acclaimed "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is doing well with five nominations.

Netflix's' down by the major film and television awards is, according to the film journalist and critic Casper Hindse not random.

- the Money in the film industry is about to change hands. It is Netflix, who has the money at the moment. And it is Netflix, which offers enormous creative freedom to them, they set to make a film.

- It is a development that has been going on for a while. This year, it could well indicate that Netflix for the seriousness of the banks to take the whole shebang, says Casper Hindse.

But in the category of best foreign film was the Danish hope "the Queen" with Trine Dyrholm starring bypassed.
