Elvis Presley was a series of watches famous of which were both from the technological side as well as the design language on the amount of time. Its watches by Rolex watch , Hamilton and Omega were always the vanguard of this development and they did not fit at the same time to the Image of the man. The King of Rock-n-Roll lived, as it corresponds to its name, like big foot: big cars, extravagant Outfits, which were equipped with expensive jewellery and of course a suitable watch. Here we show some of the models, it has been proven, and some even as Re-editions or in a slightly modified Design today:

The Rolex "Midas", the king from Greek mythology called, the turned everything into Gold, he touched – hence the expression "midas touch" dates back to the time when Elvis in Las Vegas occurred. The first model of the "King Midas" was the ref. 9630, which was first placed on the market in the late 1960s out. It was the most expensive Rolex watch, who gave it to your time. Made from solid case and links made of 18-carat Gold, weighed each at 185 grams. The watch features an asymmetric 28 mm Pentagon enclosure, the Design of which is reminiscent of the Parthenon temple in Athens, the members are designed as columns. The winding crown looks like a sun. Your Designer in the world of watches at least as famous as Elvis: the "King Midas" comes from none other than Gérald Genta, the father of the "Nautilus" by Patek Philippe and the "Royal Oak" from Audemars Piguet. The packaging of the Midas, an ancient amphora painted motifs made of clay is now just as sought-after as the watch itself, and was offered at auction by Antiquorium for 4000 Euro. The Hamilton "Ventura"

As Elvis's 1961 movie "Blue Hawaii" turned up, wore a Hamilton "Ventura". The watch is today still produced in a similar Design. It was the first watch in the world with a battery-powered movement and its special triangular shape of the fins of the American road cruisers of this time is reminiscent of the futuristic rear.

6. May 1970 is considered to be one of the most revolutionary moments in the history of wrist watches. At a press conference in New York at the Restaurant "Four Seasons" presented Hamilton, the first digital electronic watch in the world. The Pulsar was named after the pulsing of the neutron stars, the radiation rays with ultra-precise frequencies. The watch seemed like something out of a Science Fiction movie, with no moving parts, no ticking sound, and with unsurpassed accuracy. Their breakthrough technology heralded a time of digital watches and their futuristic was seen next to Elvis on the wrists of Jack Nicholson, Joe Frazier, Elton John and Keith Richards. Of the first P1 Version made of solid Gold there were only 400 copies, of which occasionally one shows up on auctions. At the time, the price of 2100 dollars was the value of a medium-class car.
