Convicted of abuse: Judge upholds long sentence for coach

A judge in Pennsylvania upheld on Friday a sentence of 30 to 60 years in prison for the 75-year-old Jerry Sandusky, a former assistant coach in american football for collegeholdet Penn State.

Sandusky was in 2012 found guilty of 45 cases of abuse against 10 boys over a 15-year period. He had sought to get a reduction in his punishment.

But judge Maureen Skerda sentenced Sandusky to the same punishment as he was sentenced by the original trial against him for over seven years ago.

Friday's hearing took place near Penn State, where Sandusky was an assistant coach.

the Abuse took place between 1994 and 2008.

During the trial went Sanduskys adopted son also to the authorities and announced that he also had been the victim of sexual assault from the accused's side.

Sandusky was the one part of the university of Penn States legendary trænerduo with the now-deceased Joe Paterno. He received twice the award for the best assistant coach in the american collegefodbold.
