Everywhere in France, the pandemic Covid-19 leaves traces in the vineyard as in the wine growers. Thus, in Gaillac, in the Tarn, the traditional event for wine-tourism of the year – the 42nd edition of wine festival – has been postponed to the summer of 2021. A hard blow for the local winemakers, the event bringing together each year, many wine lovers. However, no matter for women and men in the local market not to accommodate visitors as it should. In order to maintain a tourist activity in wine, Gaillac installs its open-air café on the banks of the Tarn river – on the dock of the Lido – and at the heart of the greenery of the parc Foucaud until 30 August next. On the menu ? Tasting of the many wines of the PDO gaillac, discovery of local products, concerts and meetings with the winemakers on site. In addition, throughout the summer, the cellars and domains of the appellation propose various activities in partnership with the Maison des vins de Gaillac : workshops with producers, visits to wineries, walks in the vineyards...
