The current Corona pandemic not only affects the behaviour in public life – even the medical screening and care is handled by many people currently different.

A recent survey conducted by the COVID-19 Snapshot monitoring (COSMO) at the University of Erfurt shows that many people have delayed cancer screening tests, health Check-Ups and visits to the dentist due to the Coronavirus.

The representative COSMO-surveys are regularly conducted to capture the perceptions, attitudes, Knowledge levels, as well as the behavior of the citizens to Covid-19.

The survey results clearly show that, Since March of this years, 22 percent of respondents have let their dental health more control, particularly Screening and follow-up appointments have been postponed.

But other health Check-Ups were performed by 16 percent. Especially 30 - to 49-Year-old is lagging behind in terms of follow-up appointments.
