The Covid-19 has caused 46 deaths in hospitals in France, bringing the balance sheet total 29 111 dead since the beginning of the epidemic, according to the balance sheet daily press on Friday by the Directorate-general of Health. This balance sheet does not include the deaths in institutions, social and medico-social, for which the latest figures date back to Tuesday and the next update is scheduled for 9 June.

Four regions (Île-de-France, Grand, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and the Hauts-de-France) comprise 76% of the patients hospitalized in resuscitation. At the global level, the pandemic has made more than 387 000 deaths since the virus appeared in late December in China. The United States remains by far the country most affected (more than 108 000 deaths), followed by the United Kingdom (39 904), Brazil (34 021) and Italy (33 689).
