Heather McDonald, comedian, collapses and fractures her skull during a set in Tempe, Arizona

On Saturday night, Heather McDonald, a standup comedian, collapsed in the middle of a show at Tempe, Arizona.

The star, 51 years old, took to her Instagram Story the night of February 5 to address fans at the hospital.

She began, "So, I'm at the emergency room, and I look strange," "Oh my god, I'm so so, so so, so sorry."

She explained that she had "passed out" on the stage.

McDonald's recalled, "I got up, did one joke, and felt dizzy." You can see my eye. I fell on my eye. It's so horrible that this happened. They had to cancel the second show and tell everyone to leave.

Star insists that she will return to Tempe in future.

She said, "I have never, ever fainted"

Reps for the star told Phoenix's NBC outlet she may have lost consciousness due to dehydration and sustained a skull fracture after falling.

"She might be released today," her management said on Sunday, adding that she had tested negative for coronavirus.

The comedian had performed on Friday at the Improv and was scheduled to perform back-toback shows on Saturday, until she collapsed.

McDonald's representatives did not respond immediately to Fox News Digital's requests to comment. Neither did Tempe Fire Department reps, who responded to the scene.

TMZ reports from eyewitnesses that the comedian told a joke about coronavirus vaccinations at the top of the show and then fell to the ground. Many believed the collapse was an act, according to the outlet.
Two medical professionals were seen in the audience, and they offered their assistance on stage.
TMZ reported that the comedian said her sister-in law, who was also in the audience, brought her to the hospital where she had several tests, including a CT scan. It is not clear what caused her to fall.
She also said that her head hurts and she feels very tired.
