CCTV footage captures naked man paying petrol at Sydney BP

Last week, a Sydney customer walked into a service station to pay for petrol. He was wearing nothing but a pair thongs and sunglasses.

CCTV footage shows the man naked walking into Edgecliff BP, and then using his phone to pay for petrol.

Although the footage was captured last Thursday, it is not known what the reason for the man's nude run.

Bruno Bouchet (the manager of radio shock jock Kyle Sandilands) posted footage and pictures to Twitter.

He wrote, "Real life version you have when your completely starkers are in public," above a photo of the man entering the petrol station.

The Daily Mail was told by Mr Bouchet that, despite his nudity and the worker behind him, he was also concerned about the man's absence of a mask.

He said, "He thought it was crazy just like everyone else."

"But there wasn't any conversation about what was going on.

He was worried that he wasn’t wearing a mask. But he was shocked by the situation and wanted to be professional so he didn’t say anything."

The Daily Telegraph was informed by the owner of a nearby company that the man's behavior was "shameful", and it was the first time such an incident had ever occurred in the region.

The NSW Police are aware of this situation, but they have not been called about it.

It is against the law of NSW to "wilfully or obscenly expose one's person...in view from a public or school".

This offence carries a maximum penalty of six months imprisonment or $1100 fine.
