Union: Verdi reaches collective bargaining agreement for aerologic pilots

The Verdi union has reached a collective bargaining agreement for around 600 pilots at the Aerologic cargo airline. With a term of 15 months, salary increases of between 8.5 percent in the upper and 24.6 percent in the lower salary brackets were agreed by the end of 2023, as Verdi announced on Monday in Berlin.

In the future, the pilots will earn between 64,000 and 208,000 euros a year including shift allowances. In addition, additional vacation days, company pension schemes and accessibility rules were agreed in the general tariff, which is valid until the end of 2025.

In the case of the joint venture between Deutsche Post DHL and Lufthansa, the competing Cockpit association does not come into play. According to Verdi, it also has collective agreements for pilots at the German Easyjet bases and at the DHL subsidiary European Air Transport in Leipzig. At the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings, like VC, she is striving for a collective agreement.
