The price of electricity in the regulated market falls this Saturday to 0.2534 euros. The cheapest stretch will be from 12 noon to 7 pm and the most expensive will be at dawn and from 9 pm to 12 midnight.

The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will fall 4.96% on Saturday compared to this Friday, standing below the level of 210 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).

Specifically, the average price of electricity will be 203.86 euros/MWh this Saturday, about 10.64 cents cheaper than the price this Friday (214.5 euros), according to data published by the Operator of the Iberian Energy Market (OMIE) and collected by Europa Press.

Compared to a year ago, the average price of electricity for this Saturday will be 152.95% more expensive than the 80.59 euros/MWh of June 4, 2021.

The prices of the 'pool' have a direct impact on the regulated rate --the so-called PVPC--, to which almost 11 million households in the country are covered, and serve as a reference for the other 17 million who have contracted their supply in the free market.
