These are the cheapest hours of electricity this Saturday, June 25

The price of electricity for customers who have the regulated rate drops to an average of 0.26534 euros per kilowatt hour (€/kWh) this Saturday. The cheapest section will be from 12 noon to 9 p.m., while the most expensive will be from dawn to 9 a.m.

In the wholesale market, the average price of electricity for the regulated rate linked to the wholesale market will drop 5.4% on Saturday compared to this Friday, to 214.66 euros per megawatt hour (MWh).

This price for PVPC customers is the result of adding the average price of the auction in the wholesale market to the compensation that the demand will pay to the combined cycle plants for the application of the 'Iberian exception' to cap the price of gas for electricity generation.

In the auction, the average price of electricity in the wholesale market -the so-called 'pool'- will stand this Saturday at 128.70 euros/MWh, which is 8.9 euros less than the price for today (137. 59 euros/MWh) and a decrease of 6.4%, according to data from the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE) collected by Europa Press.

The maximum price of electricity for this June 25 will be registered between 01:00 and 02:00, with 185 euros/MWh, while the minimum for the day, of 65.71 euros/MWh, will be between 17:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Added to this pool price is the compensation of 85.96 euros/MWh for gas companies, compared to 89.31 euros/MWh this Friday. This compensation must be paid by the consumers who benefit from the measure, the consumers of the regulated rate (PVPC) or those who, despite being in the free market, have an indexed rate.
