The Spanish Chamber of Commerce has held the first edition of the Chambers awards that were born with the aim of recognizing and valuing the work of the territorial Chambers in different areas of special relevance for the economic and social development of our country.

The Spanish Chamber of Commerce has held the first edition of the Chambers awards that were born with the aim of recognizing and valuing the work of the territorial Chambers in different areas of special relevance for the economic and social development of our country.

The winners of this first edition have been: the Chamber of Tarragona in the category of Internationalization; the Chamber of Valencia in Digitization: the Chamber of Seville in Formation; the Zaragoza Chamber of Sustainability; the Chamber of Santiago de Compostela in Entrepreneurship; the Chamber of Valladolid in Arbitration and Mediation, and the four Canarian Chambers in the category of Social Leadership.

The Minister for Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegría, participated in the event, praising the choice of the different categories for the first edition of these awards, "they are areas in which most companies and institutions can feel reflected in terms of their daily concerns.

And it is something that speaks clearly of what makes the Chambers special».

At the opening of the event, the president of the Chamber of Spain, José Luis Bonet, praised the work of the presidents of the regional chambers: «You have turned the chambers of commerce into an indispensable instrument at the service of companies and the whole of society. You have shown that chambers of commerce are useful and necessary».
