The car market in China is experiencing a real boom. In September, the number of vehicles sold rose by 21 percent year-on-year to 1.95 million, as the industry association PCA announced in Beijing last week. This is largely thanks to plug-in and electric cars. Their sales increased by 83 percent to 611,000 units.
This means that every second vehicle with an electric drive worldwide is now sold in China. This year, sales are expected to double to about six million electric vehicles, more than the entire rest of the world. China owes this to years of effort.
