Stabilization is emerging for the Dax at the end of a weak week. Thanks to specifications from overseas, the leading German index rose by 0.28 percent to 14,304.11 points in the first few minutes of trading on Friday. "Bargain hunters are getting in at current levels, hoping for new signs of slowing inflation in the US," commented analyst Jochen Stanzl of financial services firm CMC Markets.

On Thursday, the Dax closed slightly higher, ending a three-day losing streak. On a weekly basis, he is heading for a loss of around one and a half percent after just barely missing his ninth weekly win in a row last week. The MDax of medium-sized stocks rose by 0.34 percent to 25,551.95 points on Friday morning. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 went up by 0.14 percent to 3926.95 points.
